Neatoramabot Papercraft by Yumiko Matsui

I’m a big fan of papercraft artist Yumiko Matsui (featured before on Neatorama here ) – so it was a pleasant surprise to hear from her about this Neatoramabot papercraft sculpture. Ain’t he cute? If you haven’t seen Yumiko’s artwork before, you owe it to yourself to check it out: she sculpts fantastic and colorful dioramas as well as miniature characters out of paper. The level of details is simply superb (for example, in her Summer Festival series, check out the Japanese pancake stand )

Censored or Juried? The below letter is from artist Andrei Trach , relating his recent experience in having a solo show canceled allegedly because of the content of the artwork. I have sent out several requests to Dundalk Community College to get their side of the story, but so far nothing from them. If they do respond to Mr. Trach's story I will post their responses as well. Read Mr. Trach's recollections, see his artwork and then let us know your comments. Is this a case of censorship?

The Need for Unique Wall Decor

Unique wall decor is definitely part of interior decoration that varies from person to person. I am referring to the appreciation for this kind of artwork especially in contemporary houses of the modern society. There are various ways for the wall decoration that will surely speak of the art work itself and the fashion sense of the household. You can now see a wide variety of technologically advanced wall decors. The advent of modern technology has indeed revolutionized not only the tradition

Nintendo women sent back to the 80’s

July 14, 2009 by Arts and Crafts · Leave a Comment

It was a long time coming, but the three big women in the Nintendo world have finally embraced their roots. In a sort of 80’s bad girl mash up, illustrator Assim Heetun brings the heroines back to a place that they haven’t been for awhile. Make sure to check out Peach’s tattoos and the art on Samus’ logo. Very nice touches. I’m about ready to break out the sleeveless jean jacket and Ray Bans, if only I weren’t a little terrified of the trio. I would love to see more artwork like this, perhap
